On July 1st the Oireachtas Committee on Justice, Home Affairs and Migration considered submissions on the proposed legislation. The Committee will consider my input given in person and in writing and the other written submissions and create a pre-legislative scrutiny report which will inform drafting of the legislation to go before the Dail.

2025-09-24 Pre Legislative Scrutiny Report on the General Scheme of the Guardianship of Infants (Amendment) Bill 2025 (Valerie's Law)

Following the hearings held in July by the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Justice, Home Affairs and Migration the Pre Legislative Scrutiny (PLS) report has now been laid before both Houses and is available at this link.
