Valerie's Law is now before the Seanad, Third Stage (Committee Stage)
The campaign for Valerie's Law is simply one of many calling for legislative and procedural change following domestic homicide. There were 212 recommendations in the 2023 Government Study.
Jennie's Law
A particularly notable campaign is for "Jennie's Law" seeking the establishment of a Domestic Violence Register. This follows the murder of Jennifer Poole by a perpetrator with prior convictions for domestic violence which were unknown to her or her family.

Jade's Law Equivalent for Northern Ireland
This is about having an equivalent to Valerie's Law in Northern Ireland. Jade's Law is applicable to England and Wales. This is about having that in Northern Ireland as well.
